I was thrilled by what I saw posted - and isn't a drag how people OWN things? Hasn't the Internet taught us that paying for things is for chumps? I'm ordering the 10-DVD, 38-episode set. 30 bucks; 25 if you don't need the cases. I did a web search and found them at vintagetvandmore.com. Now, THEY claim the series is PD. Public domain is SUCH a can-o-worms. A film is public domain, or it isn't, or it is but the MUSIC isn't. I just finished a documentary film and Golly, rights and royalties are SO open to interpretation. A recorded performance of classical music might be old enough to be PD but the musical work being performed might NOT be, even after 120 years. YARG!

Yeah Its a mess to sort thru but those shows cant be pd unless the owners placed them there. They complied with everything they needed to do to protect the work.

btw, If it makes anyone feel better I just removed a 17 show series I uploaded for the same reason. I bought it from a pd dealer, Only the thing is, It was not at all pd. It pays to check LOC.
